My lowes has recently restocked many of the 80v tools after the shelves ran dry. the 5 tool combo has nearly completely sold out everywhere And the 80 volt lawn system doesn't have much competition on the shelves other than greenworks.Īlso the string trimmer has a little bit of obsfucation because the first generation one was attachment capable anf the second generation one is not which lead to a kobolt stick edger now being available and the removal of the attachment edger and other attachment capable kobalt items. But if you look what has happened in the handheld power tools - the kobalt brand is getting bumped up to and upper mid grade line with the XTR series. I was afraid of kobalt discontinuing a lot of stuff because of the Craftsman brand being brought in as their baseline value brand.

They have released second generations of many of the tools and it looks like the pole saw is due for an upgrade as the one that is available for shipping but not in the store is the first generation style. my store has everything in stock that you've mentioned except for the cultivator and the pole saw. I think a lot of people are buying lawn equipment right now and the 80 volt line is the best value proposition for trying to compete with gas-powered tools.
